!SOURCE: PRIDEMORE GENEALOGY by Eloise Neel, 1989. ID 46-0. "In Washington Co., MD he and Theodore, Jr. on 5 Feb 1777 took an oath of fidelity to MD. Moved ca 1779 to Berkley Co., WV; on 1782 tax roll as "Dorsey" Prigmore. "Taxpayers of Virginia", 1782-77". (He appears as "Drury", "Cadorus", etc. as occurs with Theodores. My great uncle Theodore Prigmore went by "Dora"... note of June Welch). In Bedford Co., PA, Tyrone Twp., 1787-8. Obtained a 393 acre grant south side of Pacolet River, Union Co., SC on 7 Jan 1788, surveyed 20 Nov 1787. In 1790 Union County, SC Census, 2 females lived with him; five names from John Pridemore and Jonathan and beside Benjamin Covenhover. Married ca 1754 in Berkley Co., WV. Children may have included Adam, born 1755-1764, 1800 Union Co. SC Census. Sold 93 acres of his grant to Nicholas Jasper 24 Jan 1789, witnesses Jonathan Covenhoven and Jonathan Pridmore.
