On October 3, 1835 stated he was about 76, first enlisted in Colonel Cluggage Company 1778. After 12 months service went to Bartley Co., VA (Berkeley Co., WV) where parents lived. Enlisted again August 1779 hauling supplies Fort Pitt. Returned to Bedord stationed Fort Pridmore. 1779 tax roll, Bedford Co., PA. In 1790 census Spartanburg Co., SC.
