Terry L. Beckley, 79, of Landisville passed away on July 5th, 2018 following a period of declining health. He was born in Johnstown to the late Frederick and Clara Lougher Beckley. Terry honorably served in the National Guard and worked for more than thirty years at the Burnham Corporation. He was a proud graduate of Lancaster Bible College and a faithful member of Grace Brethren Church. Terry was an avid golfer and trout fisherman who enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, and Penn State Football. Finally, Terry was a people person whose outgoing personality will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
Terry leaves behind his wife of sixty-two years, Carol Beckley of Landisville; five children, Rick, husband of Beverly Beckley of Harrisburg, Randy Beckley of Elizabethtown, Kevin, husband of Deborah Beckley of Willow Street, Fred Beckley of Southhaven, MS; Terri, wife of Patrick Hunter of Thomasville, NC; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Cheryl, wife of Thomas Gwinn of Waxhaw, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Beckley and his grandson, Chad Beckley.
A celebration of Terry's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13th, 2018 at Grace Brethren Church, 305 Anchor Rd., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be private at Conestoga Memorial Park in Lancaster.
