Actually, Teresa's place of birth has never been proven. Her older sister, Mary, always said that Teresa was born in Bethlehem, PA. Teresa received a "delayed" birth certificate from the state of Colorado when she needed to prove her elegibility for Social Security. As with many similarly obtained birth certificates her family knew that she was not born in Colorado. Since her family had moved west to Clinton (now Possum Hollow). PA by the time her older brother, George, was born it is unlikely that she was born in Bethlehem, PA. The 1920 census (Census, 1920, Colorado, Denver Roll T-625_158, page , ED 17 , page 5A, line 25. Enumerated 7 Jan 1920. Res. 3325 W. 32nd Ave.) shows her place of birth as Ohio. It is possible/probable that she was born while her family was enroute from Pennsylvania to Colorado.--Leona L 13:08, 28 November 2011 (EST)
