About Telesforo "Tele" Pérez

Telesforo "Tele" Pérez Melecio was born 25 January 1956 in La Huerta, Mocorito, Sinaloa, Mexico, the son of Isidro Pérez Payán (1924-2005) and his wife Agapita Melecio Payán. Known as "Tele" by friends and family members, in his younger years helped his father on their ranch in La Huerta, Mocorito, Sinaloa, Mexico. Later, he moved to Tijuana, Baja California and worked as a Taxi driver until he was able to save enough money to buy his own taxi. Tele was known for his calm, easy-going and friendly demeanor and became the "calming voice of reason" and peacemaker in the Pérez family. He passed away peacefully (likely of a sudden heart-attack) on 16 August 2014 while attending a family get-together and was survived by his wife Irene, daughters Karina and Marisol, son David Telesforo and four grandchildren.
