possibly the same Taylor Smalley: Subj: Re: [SMALLEY-L] Tailor SMALLEY Date:11/25/99 11:33:54 AM Pacific Standard Time From:PAYNE9@@webtv.net (PAYNE FAMILY) Reply-to:SMALLEY-L@@rootsweb.com To:SMALLEY-L@@rootsweb.com
Hi, Margaret, Someday I am going to get the tangle untangled...am curious always which of the SMALLEYS are downline from a RIDLEY. I believe the Thankful listed below with Taylor SMALLEY is porbably a RIDLEY. I know that I am a RIDLEY descendent (Mother was a RIDLEY fromCapt. Mark of 1600s) with SMALLEY maternal lines, twice. Fascinating.....must be thousands of us, though. Think both famlies were prolific. By the same token, female RIDLEY of my line married into the New Englad DYERS also. Round and Round we go......I just am fascinated and stay subbed to all three lists. HAPPY DAY TODAY TO ALL LISTERS, Nola Payne in Wenatchee, WA
I found the following in the Mayflower Descendant, v. 12, p. 24. This is not my line, but thought someone might find the information useful. Tayler Smalley son to Tailer & Mary Smalley b. Oct 1st 1792 s. John born Oct 1, 1794 d. Mary born 28 Oct 1796 s. Benjamin born 20 Dec 1802 Above children born in Provincetown, MA
There are a number of Smalleys in the Broderbund cd (#203) containing the Mayflower Descendant volumes. Unfortunately, with so many common names, it is difficult to attempt to link the various generations. Margaret Scheffler
