Lionel Worth m. abt 1648 Susannah Whipple, d/o Elder John Whipple and Susanna (Stacy or Clark), b. Bocking, Essex, Eng., 1 Jul 1622, died probably Newbury 10 Aug 1692.
[Note: no documentation of either of these dates is provided. In particular, the death date appears incorrect. No record of this death is found. Information presented by Holman herself contradicts it. A maintenance agreement dated 1 May 1688 [transcribed in this source from Essex deeds Vol. 9, folio 152 reverse ] is annotated, "Susannah Worth appered this nineteenth day of March 1692/3 In the fifth year of their maj'ties Reigne & acknowledged This above written Instructed to be her act & deed before me Daniel Peirce one of their Maj'ties Justices of ye peace." (The reign of William and Mary started 13 Feb 1688/89, so the fifth year ran from 14 Feb 1692/93 until 13 Feb 1693/94. Abstracted by Ms. Holman as "Acknowledged by Susanah Worth, 19 Mar 1692-93".) This indicates Susannah lived beyond 10 Aug 1692, and without a death record, or other basis for the 10 Aug 1692 given, there is no reason think that this acknowledgement is erroneous, or that the 10 Aug 1692 date is valid.]
