Pat: No, you were right, it is Susanna. Her father, David Knight the 3rd, was my fourth great-grandfather -- that makes her a great aunt i guess. According to my records she married John Butts as her first husband; no record of the second from my end. Susanna's mother was Jane Wightman Clark, widow of David Clark. Jane was the second of David Knight's three wives. She died Nov 26, 1776 of consumption. Another daughter, Anna, married Gidion Butts; and, one of David's daughters by his first wife married Josiah Butts. Hope this helps. You can contact me at [email protected].
