Information on Susannah Harris

Susannah Dalbey came from Chester County, PA to Frederick County, VA (not Fredericksburg) during the 1780s, with or without her husband (He may have been dead). She and children settled in Back Creek Valley, which was a Quaker community. They converted to the Methodists and produced two ministers at Back Creek. On Jan. 23, 1793, she married second to Robert McKee Sr. Robert died about 1801, and Susannah moved to Washington County, PA with her son Israel Dalbey and his family. I cannot answer the question about the roots of Susannah. You might want to check my book Frederick County, Virginia, Settlement and Some First Families in Back Creek Valley, 1730-1830. It contains a short chapter on the Dalbey family.
