Susanna Duvall, daughter of Lewis and Martha (Ridgely) Duvall, was baptized 14 Sep 1707 in All Hallows Parish, Anne Arundel county, Maryland.
In 1718 her father had settled in Dorchester, South Carolina, and was soon followed by his three daughters, Martha, Susanna, and Ann.
Lewis died in 1724. Susanna died so after, never having married. In about 1730, after Susanna's death, her sister Martha returned to Maryland to try to break the entail on "Middle Plantation", stipulated in their grandfather Mareen Duvall's will.
Susanna's death without marriage is stated in a number of depositions gathered in 1761 when her nephew Joseph Way, son of her sister Ann, gathered depositions to finally break the entail on "Middle Plantation".

  3. Ann is often claimed to be the 2nd (or 3rd) wife of Edward Mobberly. The evidence in the affadavits collected by her nephew Joseph Way in 1761 makes it fairly clear that she is not.
