It is beleived that Susannah Cox is a descendant of Elizabeth Cox (1737-1827), known as "Grammar Cox". She was the mother of 19 children and they spread themselves over sections of Fortune Bay and along the coast to Channel and further, the male descendants roved from Grand Bank nearly a century ago.

It is unsure wether she was born in Grnad Bank, possibly her husband was an Englishman. Her other descendants may include: Jane Cox 1787-1865 John Francis Cox 1793-1847 Thomas Francis, Oct. 16, 1815 William Cox 1835
