"11 Susannah (Hutchinson), wd. of Edward H., who was bur. in Alford, co. Lincoln, 14 Sept. 1631, may be the earliest born emigrant to d. in Me. (ab. 164-, in Wheelwright's home at Wells). Leaving most of her ch. behind, she came with Wheelwright to Boston, thence to Exeter, to Wells. Arriv. 26 May 1636, adm. First Ch. 12 June 1636, dism. to Ex. 3 Mar. 1638-9. Gr. mo. of Edw. Rishworth, Thomas and Samuel Wheelwright (b. 1631 and 1635), Bridget (Hutchinson) (Sanford) Phillips of Biddeford, for whose two husbands two Me. towns were named, also of Capt. Edward, Col. Elisha and Councilor Eliakim H. of Boston, she was back of much of Me. history. Of her Wheelwright gr. daus., Catherine's husb. acquired Sir Ferd. Gorges's ho. in York; [Person:Elizabeth Wheelwright (2)|Elizabeth]]'s husb. owned at No. Yarmouth and elsewhere; Hannah's husb., Anthony Checkley, with her gr. s. Thos. Savage, acquired the Cammock patent at Scarb. Habijah Savage's poster, became large owners in the Pejepscot Proprs., and in the 'Drowne' Pemaquid Co. Of her 11 ch. 5 came over William, bp. 14 Aug. 1586, husb. of the brilliant Anne (Marbury). Samuel, bp. 1 Nov. 1590. Susannah, bp. 9 Aug. 1601, m. Augustine Storre. Mary, bp. 22 Dec. 1605 (Mrs. Wheelwright). Edward, bp. 20 Dec. 1607. Of these, 3 came to Exeter, only Mary to Wells. From Ex., Samuel went to R. I., the Storres vanished, Edward went to R.
