Her name on the notation at findagrave website was Seacrist but her name in her Family Bible was spelled Secrist according to M. Money.

Obituary contributed by M. Money: Susan Jackson, deceased, died at her home in Bridgeport, Clark County, Indiana, May 25, 1901, after an illness of five days of pneumonia.

Deceased was born near New Middletown, Harrison County, Indiana, August 6th, 1822, her maiden name being Secrist. Her parents both died when she was a small child, and she was taken and reared by foster parents. When thirteen years old she joined the United Brethren church and ever since has been a faithful and devoted member. When there were church services, her absence was most invariably on account of her not being well enough to attend. Her greatest happiness was in serving God and trying to make others happy.

She was a devoted wife and a fond and loving mother, suffering much and toiling hard to raise her large family, being the mother of fifteen children, ten of whom are living, seven sons and three daughters, who deeply feel and mourn her loss. Her sufferings she bore with Christian fortitude; never complaining when bowed down with grief of care. She was much loved and respected and will be greatly missed in the community where she has long resided.
