From a file at the Morgan County Public Library, no newspaper name given, dated March 20, 1948 Death Takes Mrs. Farmer Mrs. Susan Farmer, age 83, for many years a well-known resident of the Mooresville community, died Sunday evening in an Indianapolis nursing home as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral services are being arranged for Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Methodist church, by the Rev. H. Earl Cox, Friends church minister. Burial will follow in the Mooresville cemetery. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Farmer’s son, Alpha Farmer, at 227 North Main street, Mooresville, after 4 o’clock today. The E. F. Harvey Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Farmer was born in Illinois and was a teacher before her marriage to the late William Farmer. The couple and their family lived on a farm west of Mooresville for many years. Mrs. Farmer was a member of the First Methodist church and the Bay View club. Surviving her are the son, Alpha Farmer, a daughter, Mrs. Maggie Carter of Cincinnati, and several grandchildren.
