Susan L. (Stewart) O'Brien, 69, of Frankfort, died on May 27, 2021 at I.U. Health Arnett in Lafayette, IN. She was born on July 29, 1951 in Frankfort, IN to Herman Wayne and Velma Mae (Laughner) Stewart. She married John R. O'Brien on June 21, 1969 at the Woodside Christian Church in Frankfort and he survives.
Susan was a 1969 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. She had worked in the Frankfort Municipal Utilities office for 25 years, retiring in 2011 as the Billing Office Manager. She was a member of the Mulberry Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. Susan loved working in the yard with her flowers. She enjoyed playing her video slots. She loved everything about her grandchildren and enjoyed family get-togethers, especially the holiday seasons. She also enjoyed spending winters in Hilton Head, SC with John.
Susan is survived by her husband; two sons; one sister; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Roy Glover.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
