    Susan Bixler was born in Kendallville, and was married to Peter Ritter,January 1, 1868. To the union were born five sons and by daughters,nine of whom with the father, survive to mourn their great loss.Deceased united with a Christian Church in Angola in 1863, and lived alife in keeping with her profession. Funeral services were held atSalem Center, February 23, elder Charles S. Middlebury, ministerofficiating. Burial at Mount Zion."
