Susie was born about 1871 in what was known as Blue County in the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory before Oklahoma statehood. She was listed as 1/2 blood on the Choctaw Nation Dawes Enrollment Card.
Her father Calvin Beames was Choctaw.
Her mother Caroline Foreman was Cherokee, according to Susie's Dawes Enrollment Card (Field #3758). Caroline died in 1872 according to information in Susie's Dawes packet.
Susie was listed in the 1885 Choctaw Census as living in her father's household. She was listed in the 1896 Choctaw Census as the head of household.
She married Grant Lauchner on January 14, 1896. The marriage license was issued by the Cherokee Nation Cooweescoowee District.
According to information in her Dawes packet, she died on 14 May 1901 and had resided at, or near, Bokchito, which is east of Bennington. Bokchito was also in Blue County.
