Stewart Alexander, age 46, white male born July 1853, widowered, born Ohio, as were parents, is boarding in the house of James M. Bradley. Immediately following is the household of Alexander C. Roush age 53, his wife Caroline age 62, married 18 yrs, stepson John P. Ellison, age 47 (single), nephew Prescott B. Kirker, age 26, and granddaughter Louisa Alexander, age 15, b. Sept. 1884. Servant Apaline (Opaline?) Shelton rounds out the household. Caroline (maiden name unknown) Ellison Roush was apparently the mother of John P. and Esther Ellison. Esther married Stewart Alexander and died before 1900.
