STEPHEN WARRINGTON 1634 - 1707Stephen Warrington, the progenitor of the Warrington familiesin America is believed to have been the son of James Warrington andMargaretPrice of Worcester, England. It is further believed that he was born circa1634 in St. Michael, Worcester, England. Stephen died in Accomack County,Va., between Dec. 23, 1707, and Feb. 1, 1708. These dates represent thedate ofStephen's Will and the date the will was entered into probaterespectively. It is believed that Stephen spent his early years in CharlesCity County, Va., on his father's plantation. He may or may nothave moved on to Charles County, Md., with his father, before hemigrated to Accomack County, Va.Stephen's father, James Warrington, was born circa 1608 in St.Michaels, Worcester, England. When he arrived in the VirginiaColony he settled in Charles City County, Va., but he probably diedintestate, circa 1658, in Charles County, Md.Stephen's mother, Margaret Price, was born circa 1612 in St.Michaels, Worcester, England. It is speculated, by the writer, thatMargaret(Price) Warrington died in the area of Charles City, Virginia prior to1658. Church records, in England's St. Michael Parish, indicate that James Warrington and Margaret Price were married May 2, 1633, in St. Michael Parish, Worcester, England.Stephen Warrington probably immigrated to the Colonies with his parents circa 1637/8, however, no ship record has been found to substantiate this supposition. This is not strange, because, boys under 14 years were not listed in ship records of the time. The children of Stephen Warrington and his first wife Mary are believed to have been Walter, Alexander and Mary Warrington. The children of Stephen Warrington and Elizabeth Jenkins, hissecond wife, are believed to have been Elizabeth, John, Rachel, William and Thomas Warrington.
