Nov. 10, 1701; d. May 14,1792, aged 91. Rev. Stephen Steele graduated at Yale College, 1718, and was the first settled minister in Tolland in 1720, at a salary of seventy-five pounds a year. A sister of his wife m. Rev. Solomon Williams, and was the ancestress of William Williams, one of tbe signers of the Declaration of Independence."
