Some Ancestry Member Trees claim that the father of John and George Morrison was a Stephen Morrison, born abt. 1740, with little or no documentation or records to support this. There is another Stephen Morrison listed in nearby Culpeper County records (who married a Mary Munyon), apparently born abt. 1749 in Stafford County, VA and died 1807 in Culpeper, but his children were born a few years later during the late 1770's and 1780's; John and George could possibly fit as older sons of this other Stephen Morrison, but his birthdate would have to be a few year earlier. George Morrison (supposed son of this Stephen) married in Orange County, Virginia in 1791, but there are few (if any) records of a Stephen Morrison in early Orange County deeds or wills up to 1778. More research is necessary to either prove or disprove Stephen Morrison as the father of John and George Morrison.
