CENSUS: U.S. 1820, Cato,Cayuga Co., NY. Stephen has 2 m under 10; 1m 26-44; 3f under 10; 1f 26-44 in his household. Comment: If this is the correct person, Samuel and Conley would account for the males, but I presently have only one girl, Mary who would be 3. Who are the other 2 girls?

Note on birth: This is not Bradford Co., VT ( or PA) but the town of Bradford, Orange Co., VT.

Children: Note that Samuel's obituary says he is the youngest of 11 children, but we have only 10 names in 2009.

CENSUS; U.S. 1830, Eagle Twp, Allegany, NY roll 84, p 85, Ancestry.com Stephen Jones is listed with three males, 5-10; one male 30-40; one female 10-15, and one female 30-40. Comment: This is not the correct ages for the sons, but the youngest is in this category. Only one female child is shown, but the slash mark is very faint, and the one for baby Caroline may have faded away. Also note that Allegany Co. is just north of Bradford Co., PA where he lived previously, and where his wife's family lived.
