Obituary
Lowell Sun, 6 Dec 1847:
"Stephen Borst, a resident of Lowell for the past 47 years, died Friday morning [5 Dec 1847] at St. John's hospital following a short illness. For 45 years Mr. Borst was the brew master at Harvard Brewery, retiring two years ago. He was an attendant of the Sacred Heart church for the past 20 years and made his home at 12 Saratoga street. He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Becht) Borst; four daughters, Mrs. Leo Duboy, Mrs. Roy Richter, Mrs. Joseph Jordan and Mrs. Frank Golden; two sons, Herman and Stepehn Borst, Jr; 23 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was a member of Lowell Lodge 87 B. P. O. Elks."
