Mrs. Stella Thompson Dies

Mrs. Stella Thompson, 62, of the Fitzhugh Addition died at 2 O'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home of a son in Higgins, TX. She had been ill for 6 weeks. Born March 19, 1883, in Tenn., Mrs. Thompson had lived in Clovis for 8 years. Her husband, W.E. Thompson, died Sept. 7, 1943.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Opal Jackson, Clovis, & Mrs. Mar Deavers, Olney, Texas & six sons, Lloyd, Foy & Loy, Clovis, B.A. Thomps & C.E. Thompson, Elk City, OK., & L.B. Thompson, Higgins, TX., a sister, Mrs. Bertha Parchman, Little Rock, Ark., two brothers, Earl Rhodes, Graham, TX., & Lloyd Rhodes, Little Rock, AR. & 18 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at One oclock Thursday afternoon at the Trinity Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Edwin Grant. Burial will be in the Clovis Cemetery under the direction of River Funeral Home.
