David first shows up on the 1860 Carroll Co, TN census record. David marrys Noile Spain on May 21, 1879 and shows up as head of household on the 1880 Carroll Co, TN census. We don't have a census record of him in 1900, but by then he was probably living in Prairie Co, AR. His first daughter, Bertha, was married in Prairie Co. in 1898 and Stella was married in Dec. 1900 in Prairie Co.

I have no documented records of David after 1900, but stories from various family members seem to think that he was married another time or two. If so, it was probably after Noile died, which was at a fairly young age of 45 (she died on Jul 29, 1905). David is supposed to have died in St Joseph, MO. (The date when is unknown).
