Stanley Ralph Beal, 93, was born on February 28, 1920 on the farm place near Round Lake, MN, the son of Ralph and Frieda Morgan Beal. He grew up on the farm and worked the land until he retired from farming and moved into Round Lake. Stanley graduated Valedictorian from Round Lake High School in 1938. He farmed with his father for many years. Stanley was very accomplished in making what he needed and built virtually all of his farm equipment even to the point of building a bridge across the dredge ditch to make access to his farmland easier. Stanley moved to town with his parents in 1979 and helped with their care for many years. He spent many hours working with and hosting foreign exchange students under the International Student Exchange program and devoted countless hours to the Worthington-Crailsheim International Foreign Exchange Student Program. Stanley also enjoyed making wine, and a good share of his time during retirement was spent making gallons of wine to share with friends and family. He also enjoyed genealogy and family history, traveling, square dancing with the Turkey Trotters Square Dance Club, and ballroom dancing. Many hours were spent at the Coliseum in Worthington. Stanley passed away on January 14, 2014 at Crossroads Care Center in Worthington.
