Facts and Events
Stanislaus and Magdalena travelled from Bremen to New York on the ship Rhein. They arrived in New York on 02/May/1873. From James Ebin as told by his mother Kathleen Ebin: "One of my Ebin ancestors married a young French girl who had came to stay with the Ebin family. She was a seamstress. The family did not approve of his marriage to her, presumable because of her duties and nationality. They disinherited him from the family. He moved eventually to the United States and that is where our family line came from. Although I do not remember her giving me any names, I believe, like you do, that the story refers to Stanislaus." |
