On the index for this 1870 census, Betsey is said to be born in Mecklenburg - but on the image it clearly says Indiana and the word Mecklenburg does not show anywhere on the page!

Betsey and her dau Nancy are on the 1870 Census for Delphia, Carroll Co., Indiana. It looks to me like the enumerator has marked the household numbers one line off nearly all the way down the page as he has children in the previous household marked with the household numbers. If I'm correct in this, there is a child living with Betsey and Nancy. It is after the Civil War and Squire is not listed with the family. Perhaps the child is an orphan they have taken in. He may be or may not be related; I don't know.
