Solomon served in the military in 1738 as a Corporal. Served with Capt. Cornelius Winecoop's Foot Co. Militia. In 1796 Petrus and Jacobus moved from Esopus to Chenango Co. NY near Greene. In 1807 Solomon, Barent (Barney), Hermanus (Herman) and Simon moved to Chenango Co. NY Espous (or Spous) was the original name of the settlement at the mouth of Roundout Creek, and the Hudson River. In May of 1661 Peter Stuyvestant changed the name to WYLTWYCK. In 1664 the English took the colony and renamed it Kingston.
