The father was a founder of the church in the west Precinct at Newbury.]

    Will of "Soloman Holman of Sutton", dated 29 Mar 1785, names daughter Dolley Holman [at Decease of myself and my beloved wife]; my four Sons (viz) Solomon Jonathan Elisha and Daniel Holman. Friend Cap't. Samuel Small to be executor.
    11 Apr 1785: Assent to proving of will "of our Honored Father", signed by Solomon Holman, Elisabeth Shumway.
    3 May 1785: Samuel Small presents will of "Cap'n Solomon Holman late of Sutton deceased" in which he was named executor, but he refused to serve.
