  He was a selectman at North Hero, 1791-2, a prosperous farmer, and a man of influence. It is said that he and all of his descendants were Whigs until the organization of the Republican party, to which they have all, with one exception, been loyal.

Solomon's sister in law Abigail married Knight married Daniel Hazen b. abt 1771 probably Solomon's brother. Another sister in law Olive Knight married Joseph Westcott who was born abt. 1775. They had a son who was born 1 January 1806 in Peru, N. Y. Revolutionary War -- Liast Joseph - service not identified, bur North Hero: N-5 Chapter XIII12. Solomon and his borhter Daniel were men of "Great Wealth & Influence" Research: IGI Film #451033 Ordinance #45225 Temple Arizona.
