His will was dated January 4, 1796 and proved November 6, 1800. He was a selectman in Dover and a moderator of the first town meeting in Madbury to which he had moved. He owned a saw and grist mill "at the great falls on the North River" and a share in one on Oyster River plus land in Barrington and Barnstead.
