[edit] Hannemahuis [11 July 2012]Simon Ymkes Kamminga (born Harlingen, Groningen, Netherlands 03 Januar 1817),fourth child of Ymke Clases Kamminga and Saapkje johannes van der Veer, was cooper by profession. 9 May 1839, he married for the first time with Lolkje Gaeles Bouma, born 30 March 1818 in Stiens, Leeuwarderadeel, Friesland, Netherlands. They had 5 children. The sons are named after their grandfathers: Ymke to his paternal grandfather, Gaele to his maternal grandfather. The other son Hessel was named after his maternal Great Grandfather and daughter Baukje after his maternal Great Grandmother. In 1848 they lived on Zoutsloot 100/102 in Harlingen. When their brother Hessel died at the age of 1 on 29 September 1848 Simon Ymkes Kamminga was warehouseman. On 12 March 1852 Simon Ymkes Kamminga married for the 2nd time, with Jetske Sjollema (born Lemmer 7 June 1812). The Harlingen Population 1851-1860, Section C, page 160 shows that they lived on the Noorderhaven (C-162). With her he had one son Johannes, named after the maternal grandfather. Simon was in that period a professional warehouseman. His second wife Jetske Sjollema died March 24, 1866. On 20 September 1866 Simon Ymkes Kamminga married for the third time, with Teetske van der Burg, born 2 November 1831 in Harlingen. With her he had a daughter Saakje, born, Harlingen July 8, 1867. The Census 1880-1900, Part K, page 6, shows that Simon Ymkes Kamminga was for the third time widowed, Teetske van der Burg died on 8 December 1868. He was a clerk by profession and lived alone with his daughter Saakje at different addresses, until his daughter Saakje died on 18 December 1881. Then Simon moved to the Reformed Parish Home (for old men), where he died on 18 April 1908. References
