Research notes

  • Simeon Jackson Hunt practiced polygamy, marrying both Delila Samples (legally) and her sister Mary Samples (legally after the death of Delila). He had children by both wives over the years, those by Delila were known by his surname Hunt and those by Mary were known by her surname Samples.
