[marta_nordbo.ged] Section G 8 5 Obituary for S. S. Hookland Sievert Hookland, an elderly man, who moved to Northfield but recently from Peterson, Minnesota, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. C. Dayton, Thursday last week. Mr.. Hookland was the father of nine children, of whom six survive him. Those living are Mrs. Martha Iverson of Fillmore, Mrs. A. C. Dayton of Northfield, Mrs. Mary Dayton of Person (sic), Mrs. Emma Neystad (sic) of Peterson, Mrs. H. J. Holman of Slater, Ia., and Sievert Hookland of Mesilla N. Mex. Others from outside points in attendance were Rev. H. J. Holman and Mrs. Edward Iverson. Surviving him is also his wife, Mrs. Margit Hookland. [ED: Mrs. Edward Iverson and Mrs. Martha Iverson are the same person] The funeral exercises were conducted from the home Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by President J. N. Kildahl. The services were held off to the last minute pending the arrival of a son who lives in New Mexico. He arrived just in time for the funeral. -Northfield News. |
