Nepstad, a native of Minnesota aged 76 years; loving wife of Nels Nepstad of North Sacramento, mother of Aubrey Nepstad, Mrs. Blanche Shirley and Mrs. Norma Montgomery, all of Sacramento, Vernon Nepstad, Mrs. Lillis Dillard, Miss Adeel (sic) Nepstad of North Sacramento and Mrs. Grace Stoddard of Redding. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) October 3rd at 11 A. M. from the North Sacramento Funeral Home. Interment East Lawn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A. M. tomorrow in the North Sacramento Funeral Home for Mrs. Emma S. Nepstad, 76, a resident of North Sacramento 25 years who died yesterday in the Arcade Hospital.

The Nepstad family home is at 516 Cantalier Avenue, North Sacramento.

Mrs. Nepstad leaves her husband, Nels, and seven children. The children are Aubrey Nepstad, Mrs. Blanche Shirley and Mrs. Norma Montgomery. all of Sacramento: Vernon and Adele Nepstad and Mrs. Lillis Dillard of North Sacramento, and Mrs. Grace Stoddard of Redding, Shasta County.

Fragment of a letter from Emma to her sister Martha written in January, 1927:

"I was glad to hear about your children and also to know they are all doing well. Has Blanch more than one child?

All our children are living here in Sacramento except Grace and Adele. They are up in the mountains at Weimar, Calif. They have been having the flu, otherwise they are fine. Grace weighs 127 pounds and that is pretty good for her. Ted and Blanch both work, they have just one little boy, Wayne. Blanch works in a department store and Ted for Richfield Oil Company in office. Aubrey works for the street car company and is a motor man. Clara his wife works in the same store where Blanch works. Their twin boys both play in the band. They are soon eleven years.

Norma is married and lives with us at the present time. They rented apartments but when Dad left for Canada, I wanted them to come home to live as I would be alone so much so they will stay with us till spring. Montgomery her husband also works for the street car company.

Vernon is not married but is engaged to a German minister's daughter. Lyllis was just eleven years the 13th of this month and is a big baby now. Time is going fast isn't it. And we are growing old. even if we don't feel old, when we look at the children and see how their children are grown up we first commence to realize we are but pilgrims in a strange land. May we all at our journey's end meet with our loved ones in the heavenly home where there is no more parting. Neither sorrow nor death but eternal joy and gladness at home with our savior and redeemer.

We have been going to Nels Thompson's tabernacle and like better to go there than any other place. He speaks mostly about the soon coming of Christ. He is a wonderful preacher. Lyllis goes to Methodist Sunday School. Well Martha, I have almost written a whole book now, so better close. Nels is spading up the garden and is getting it ready for planting. Martha, I would so like and talk with you and go around and visit all your children and see the home place again. I am sure it looks nice there now. Do you like it in Mabel? With love to Edward, yourself and all the children from us all. Emma

Hoping your leg is ever so much better now.
