GRAHAM — Mr. Sidney Homer Dodson, 56, of 4269-A Minehill Road, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at UNC Hospitals at Chapel Hill.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs.. Sylvia Stout Dodson, who survives, and the son of Mrs.. Betty Tapp Dodson, who survives, and the late Mr. Harvey Homer Dodson. He was a retired self-employed vinyl installer and rabbit breeder.

Survivors other than his wife of the home and mother of Graham include two daughters, Mrs.. Tammy Dodson Crawford of Graham and Mrs.. Dianne Dodson DeMetro of Burlington; two stepsons, Mr. Mallory Strickland and Mr. Jerry Strickland, both of Graham; three sisters, Mrs.. Nancy Crutchfield, Mrs.. Mary Ann Joyce and Mrs.. Carolyn Wade, all of Graham; a brother, Mr. Alfred Dodson of Graham; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Grady Dodson.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Benji Kelly.

The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home.
