Shirley Mary Crumrine, 75, Chanute, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at her home.
She was born April 17, 1926, in Kankakee, Ill., the daughter of Ralph and Yvone Losielle McCune. The family moved to Chanute when she was six, and she attended Chanute schools. She was a 1945 graduate of Chanute High School.
She worked in retail for more than 26 years and after retirement she was a greeter at Wal-Mart.
She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
She married S.L. "Shevy" Crumrine in Chanute on Jan. 17, 1946, and he survives.
She also is survived by her mother, Yvone Roles of Lawrence; three brothers, Arthur McCune of Lawrence, Dale Roles of Warner Robins, Ga., and Billy Roles of DeSoto; three sisters, Rita, Pearl Green of Colorado and Betty Drake of Tonganoxie; and three grandsons.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with Father Thomas Scaletty officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Johnson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
