TODO: Description: Seraphine Agnes Aubrey Westfall died 20 Oct 1919 In Pacific Cty, King Co. Category: Death Certificate Local: Family History Center Date: 29 Mar 2009 Status: Open Type: 0 Priority: 8 Repository:

Sons and Daughters of Oregon Pioneers application filled out by Gladys (Westfall) King, Mullen. She came to Oregon in 1893 from Brooklyn, New York. Ellen B. Thibadeau refers to her by Sara. Notes from her state she came from France (D'Are). Could this be De Aubry?? I was not sucessful in finding her or her family in the 1870 Census.

A photo taken around the turn of the century was done in Denver Colorado.

Bible transcription says that William was from Clinton, Missouri and Seraphine was from Chariton, Iowa.

I cannot read the State File No.
Note: Ora's mother's name is Agnes Seraphine. Also that he is listed as a widow and Nora was still alive. I believe that Ora fell in love with another woman and she died. They might have even been married. I found Ora on the 1920 US Census listed with 2 step sons and listed as a widow there also. These boys have the last name of [Striplin].

  7. From the Collection: Washington Death Certificates, 1907-1960.
I doubt if this is correct as I have sources for the year of 1849. 1849 was listed on the DAR application that Gladys Westfall had. Also she would have been 11 when she married William with this date.
I also have a printout from the Washington State Digital Archives that shows that she was 60 years old when she died in 1919. That would make the above date correct. I will pull that record and verify the informant on her DC.
  8. William, Seraphine, Ora E. and Mabel.
  9. We believe that she arrived in Oregon this year. See WMS001.
  10. She sold property this year. See Notes.
