Many Stickle members buried in Squaw Twsp.. Cemetery, Warren Co.,IA.Sarah's parents were ---Stickle and mother, Cora Bolyard. In «u»Proudfoot«/u» book, Cora Emma Stickel is shown on same page as many Braucht data with her husband William Henry Bolyard and their first child Elsie Louise Bolyard. Narration lists her as the 7th child of Nicholas Stickel. Because one record spelled the surname Stickly, I wonder if it wasn't pronounced as Stick-lee instead of the expected Stick-el. Also, 1986 Proudfoot Genealogy Book has different data and does not mention Cora Bolyard. That report lists Sarah as the 5th child of Nicholas and Martha Stickel (there were at least 7 sibling, but I did not care to pursue more Proudfoot Genealogy which is easily available from that source). It is interesting that in Proudfoot Genealogy Book, pg. 183, the photo of Sarah Elizabeth Stickel spells her married name as Braught, not Braucht; yet all other references to her children have the -cht spelling.
