My early data showed wife of Nicholas Stickle to be Cora Bolyard, but later data show her as 7th dau. of Nicholas, unless there were 2 Cora's, etc (not probable) . Data from Genealogy of the Proudfoot Family, 1986 book by Dorsy & Muriel Proudfoot of 8702 Galena Dr., El Paso, TX 79904 shown to me by Steve Roy (and later reported seen by Gene/Kay Braught) indicated that Sarah Elizabeth Stickel was the 5th child of Nicholas and Martha (Proudfoot) Stickel, born 9 Apr 1860 in Warren Co., IA who married George W. Braucht, son of George W. and Susan (Hime) Braucht 17 Mar 1899 at New Virginia. They had nine children, etc.... (see this family data incorporating this data with other data I had from IA records). I now wonder if there was another wife, Cora Bolyard, before Nicholas married Sarah. However, every record confirmed that Sarah Elizabeth Stickel married George Washington Braucht, Jr. with vital data the same in each case. In Warren Co. Historical Museum Vol.I Scrapbook of 1929-40 SW Warren by Harris is found an obituary article on Cecil Wilson, 27, single, living with his brother-in-law Vern Stickle. His Nov. 7 funeral was at the New Virginia Meth. church after the body had been displayed in Osceola.
