Two Sarahs
There seem to be two Sarah/Sally Stephens associated with Joshua. One, who married Edward Mobley Meadows, is most likely his daughter. The other is living in his household in 1850,[1] but it is not clear who she is.

Among the buyers named Stephens: Joshua, John (?), widow, Calvin, Joseph, Solomon, Elisha, Lucinda, Gabriel. William King and Lewis Morgan both bought beehives 18 Feb 1857. (Joshua Stephens married Tempy __. He died 14 June 1855). At the July term 1855 appraisers were appointed to the estate of Joshua Stephens, deceased. Recorded 20 Feb 1857. p. 14 – Will Book Two, p. 146 Joshua Stephens md. Tempey; son of Moses Stephens, Sr. Joshua b. 1785, died 14 June 1855. Whitmed [sic] and Elijah Stephens were two of his eleven sons. The others were James, Dawswell, Henry, Frederick, David, Joseph, Calvin, Elisha, and Moses. His daughter were Jane (King), Sally, and Lucey.
