Sarah Roott the Daughter of Thomas Roott & mary his wife was born July 27: 1683 [1]
- ↑ Source:Root, James Pierce. Root Genealogical Records, 1600-1870, p. 319, says that Sarah m. --- Wright. Typically this kind of identification is based on probate files. A marriage record of Sarah Root to Henry Wright in 1710 is found. She had several children with Henry well into the 1720s so the two marriages discussed here are overlapping and cannot be the same person.
An article, "Further Additions to Dewey Family History", NYGBR, Vol. 8, p. 109, adds to previous coverage on p. 6:67, which names the wife as simply Sarah, by adding, with no date or evidence, that her maiden name was Sarah Root, though no parents are specified. No marriage record has been found, the marriage date is estimated from the birth of the first child.
