Sarah Perry was baptised on 31st March 1771 at Eversholt in Bedfordshire, daughter of Ann Perry, formerly Warren, and her husband Thomas Perry. Sarah appears to have been their youngest child.

Sarah was married on 11th October 1791, aged 20, to William Hostler. They went on to have seven children baptised at Eversholt between 1792 and 1815.

William died in 1816, aged 47. Sarah outlived him by thirty years. The 1841 census finds her living at Church End in Eversholt with her son Samuel and his family.

Sarah died at the age of 75, and was buried at Eversholt on 5th December 1846.
