Orcutt is a name that comes up in Slade genealogy. Is there a connection between the Slades and the Boomhowers? Could this relate to why Walter moved to Bennington and eventually married Ada? Of course our current thinking is they met in Vergennes. It is reported that Sally died 12 Days after giving birth to Herbert. He was born while Sally had smallpox.
