Sarah's cemetery info reads: Sarah W.; born in Cooper County, Missouri; died 12 Oct 1917; aged 40 years, 5 months, 17 days; last residence Bunceton, Missouri; last known nearest relative or friend was Mrs. Effie Keller However the 40 years, 5 months, 17 days can't be correct because this would make her born 25 April 1877 and her mother died in 1873, her father remarried in 1874 and census records are consistant in 1880, 1900 and 1910 that she was born about 1870 to 1871. email from Kathy Linnet - [email protected] dated 15 July 2007 Below is her obituary and divorce from William: Sarah's obituary "The Eagle" Bunceton, MO., Oct. 19, 1917, page 2, column 4Mrs. Sarah Kopp DeadMrs. Sarah Kopp, widow of the late William Kopp, who lived on a small farm north of the Nebo bridge, 5miles west of Bunceton, died last Friday evening at 5 o'clock, after having been bedfast for over a year. Funeral services were conducted at the Bunceton Baptist Church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock by the pastor Rev. T.M. Macdonnell, and interment took plae in the Bunceton Masonic Cemetery.Mrs. Kopp before her marriage was Miss Sarah Mills. She was 46 years old and is survived by three children, Mrs. Effie Keller, of Fortuna, and Vina and Oscar Kopp, who are at home. Divorce Cooper Circuit Court, May 20, 1915 Sara Kopp, PlaintiffvsWilliam Kopp, Defendant Now at this day comes the plaintiff in her own proper person and by her attorney and the defendant although deuly served with process more than thirty days before the first day of the present term of this Court, and being three times solemnly called comes not but makes default.And this cause now coming on for trial the same is submitted to the Court upon the pleadings and proofs, and after having heard the evidence the Court finds that the allegations in plaintiffs petition are true: that plaintiff is the injured and innocent party and entitled to the relief prayed for in her petition.Therefore it is adjudged and decreed by the Court, that the bonds of matrimony heretofore contracted between plaintiff and defendant be and the same are hereby dissoleved and for naught held and plaintiff forever freed from the obligations therof. And it is further ordered and adjudged by the Court that the plaintiff have the care, custody and control of her daughter an infant under age: and that plainfiff have and recover of the defendant the costs in this suit laid our and expended and that execution issue therefore.
