1871 - With husband and adult son at Ely, Cambridgeshire. Aged 63.

1881 - Widowed. Living in Gaol Lane, Ely (Holy Trinity & St Mary). Annuitant, with one domestic servant and a lodger. Visiting the household was widowed Rosamond Mather (69, born Normanton, Derby) who could be the mother-in-law of Sarah's daughter Caroline. Son Walter also living in the same parish.
