Sarah's husband Robert Young died in 1824 in Laurens county, South Carolina leaving his will naming his wife Sarah, son's Joseph Young, Reason Young, Jeremiah Madison Young, Elihu Young, and Newton Spires young and daughters: Mary Young, Rachel H.D. Young and Elizabeth Lowe Holland.[1]
Sarah appears in the 1840 Federal census in Laurens county, South Carolina. Sarah's household appears as follows: 2 males age 15 thru 19; 1 male age 20 thru 29; 1 female age 20 thru 29; 1 female age 40 thru 49; and 15 slaves.[2]
Sarah appears in the 1850 Federal census in Laurens county, South Carolina. Sarah's household appears as follows: Sarah age 60; and son, Jeremiah age 29.[3]
Sarah appears in the 1860 Federal census in Laurens county, South Carolina. Sarah's household appears as follows: Sarah age 70; and William Milam age 23 listed as overseer.
Sarah died intestate the 29th January, 1866 in Laurens county, South Carolina.
