Mary Lowe Holland was born 16 Oct 1759, in Maryland, possibly Montgomery county, Maryland.[1] Mary was the daughter of David Lowe and Mary Choate Offutt.

Mary's husband Reason Holland made his last will and testament in Laurens county, South Carolina on the 30th July, 1802. Reason's will was admitted for probate in Laurens county, South Carolina on the 19th October, 1802. Mary Holland was named as Executrix and Joseph Adarr was named as Executor in the will of Reason Holland.[4] Reason Holland was buried in Laurens County, South Carolina.

Mary's household appears as follows: 1 male under age 10; 1 male age 10 thru 15; 1 male age 16 thru 25; 1 female age under 10; 1 female age 10 thru 15; 1 female age 16 thru 25; 1 female age 26 thru 44; and 7 slaves.[5]

Mary appears to be living with her son Thomas Holland in the 1830 Federal census in Lawrence county, Alabama. Thomas Holland's household, besides children, has an adult male and an adult female whose ages are between 30 thru 39; and another adult female whose age is between 60 thru 69.[7]
Mary died on the 19 March 1836, in Lawrence county, Alabama, and is buried at the Holland Cemetery, Hillsboro, Lawrence county, Alabama.[8] Mary's son Thomas Holland was the administrator of her estate.[9]
