Will of John Cole of Eastham dated 30 Jul 1743, proved 19 Jan 1746, mentions wife Sarah confirming to her the property she "broght with her" [i.e., second wife].
[Note: this applies to the widow of Richard Higgins who remarried John Cole. It may or may not apply to Sarah Hamlin.]

  3.   As noted on Family:Richard Higgins and Sarah Hamlin (1), there is no proof that it was Sarah Hamblin that married Richard Higgins and then Lt. John Cole. In fact there is some circumstantial evidence against it, notably, that her brother John's will gave to the children of his sister Sarah, something that strongly indicates she was dead, while Lt. John Cole's wife was alive when he wrote his will 30 Jul 1743.
